Outline Activities

[Research] I am conducting research from a broad perspective on phylogenetic differentiation of species and varieties, physiological ecology, genetics and breeding, and cultivation of horticultural crops. I am aiming to contribute to the development of the horticultural industry and the advancement of horticultural science through the accumulation of basic and applied research, while utilizing my experience in prefectural agricultural experiment research station.
[Education] The aims of the lecture and researches of graduation, master’s and doctoral theses are to contribute the understanding and progress of the horticultural science and technology, and cultivate positive and persistent attitudes towards problems, scientific literacy and the development of human resources capable of making diverse contribution in a variety of fields. [Social activities] I have been involved in social cooperation activities through lecturing of a general agricultural topic for the general public, serving as a field surveyor for applied varieties of horticultural crops, serving as a member of a committee for the preparation of cultivar evaluation, and serving as a member of the environmental impact assessment committee of Fukuoka City.
