Profile

Outline Activities

Currently, I am promoting the following research themes with the aim of "creating a high-resolution phenotypic analysis system (chemical sensing technology) focusing on the unique behavior of low-molecular-weight bioactive compounds in living organisms and foods for comprehensive understanding of disease-preventive behaviors of food factors.

1. Elucidation of various physiological effects of green tea catechin via its specific receptor, 67-kDa laminin receptor, and understanding of biological phenomena from their findings in view of chemical biology.
2. Development and application of metabolome analytical techniques for highly accurate phenotypic analysis that contributes to the early evaluation of pathophysiology and toxicity.
3. Development of mass spectrometry-based metabolic profiling technique for functional food pairing that contributes to functional interactions between food components.
4. Comprehensive analysis of plant-derived microRNAs as new functional food factors and their physiological actions

Message

Currently, I am working on a research theme to unravel the mechanisms of diverse food factors that have health-promoting and disease-preventive effects. I hope to enjoy learning and growing together with students.
