Profile
Outline Activities
On the basis of soil science, I perform education and research activities to establish suitable and sustainable management system of agricultural soils, develop methods to evaluate soil properties, clarify soil chemical reactions, conserve biodiversity by regulating soil environments, clarify material cycling in ecosystems, etc. In the laboratory experiments, I analyze soils using cutting-edge analytical techniques, such as nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy and mass spectroscopy in addition to general chemical analyses. Also, I conduct field survey on Ogasawara Islands and Aso-Kuju National Parks, etc., for their conservations. In addition, I am a member of Kyushu University Advanced Asian Archaeological Research Center and conduct research to reveal past environmental information by using isotopic ratio mass spectrometer, scanning electron microscope-energy dispersion x-ray spectrometer, x-ray diffractometer, laser Raman spectrometer.
Message
To clarify the mechanisms of a phenomenon in the fields, I conduct my research works with covering a wide rage of research fields. Field survey and cutting-edge analysis are both important components of my research works.
