Research Interests

"High-throughput metabolomics for cancer diagnosis"
"De novo sequencing for low-molecular-weight peptides"
"Discovery of functional protein bodies"
"Disease-specific metabolite pattern identification"

Profile

Outline Activities

  1. Mass spectrometry enables comprehensive analysis of metabolites in blood and urine. However, current methods face challenges in coverage, throughput, and cost. We are developing LDI-MS-based technology to address these issues for non-invasive diagnosis and treatment planning for cancer and other diseases.

  2. Identifying and quantifying low-molecular-weight peptides in biological samples is challenging. To overcome this, we are developing a method combining derivatization and ion mobility mass spectrometry (MS).

  3. Additionally, we are applying these analytical techniques to investigate the mechanisms of functional proteins derived from food.

Message
