"De novo sequencing for low-molecular-weight peptides"
"Discovery of functional protein bodies"
"Disease-specific metabolite pattern identification"
Profile
Outline Activities
- Mass spectrometry enables comprehensive analysis of metabolites in blood and urine. However, current methods face challenges in coverage, throughput, and cost. We are developing LDI-MS-based technology to address these issues for non-invasive diagnosis and treatment planning for cancer and other diseases.
- Identifying and quantifying low-molecular-weight peptides in biological samples is challenging. To overcome this, we are developing a method combining derivatization and ion mobility mass spectrometry (MS).
- Additionally, we are applying these analytical techniques to investigate the mechanisms of functional proteins derived from food.
