Profile

Outline Activities

We are engaged in the development of theoretical frameworks related to the mechanization, automation, and systematization of agricultural production, the development of information measurement and evaluation technologies related to field environments and plant growth conditions, and the utilization of information and communication technologies and data science in agriculture.
Specific research themes:
・Research on the operational safety of agricultural machinery and robots
・Research on optimal design based on mechanical interactions between machinery and crops, and between machinery and soil
・Research on smart livestock farming

Message

The declining and aging workforce in agriculture is an urgent issue. In this context, efficiency, labor-saving measures, automation, and the introduction of robots in agricultural production are accelerating. We aim to cultivate human resources capable of advancing agricultural production through the practical implementation of smart agriculture and data-driven agriculture to achieve sustainable food production.
