Profile
Outline Activities
One of the most fascinating characteristics of cephalopods is their ability for rapid color change and the sophisticated integration of coloration with morphological traits, known as camouflage. In my previous research, I focused on the population genetics and demographic history of the North Pacific giant octopus (Enteroctopus dofleini) using genomic approaches. I intend to expand my scope to a broader range of cephalopod species and elucidate the molecular mechanisms underlying the diversification and adaptation of chromatophores,.
Message
Cephalopods are totally awesome, both in how they look and how they live.
