Profile

Outline Activities

In collaboration with University of Georgia, University of Florida, ICIPE (Kenya), Kasetsart University (Thailand), and Hanoi Agricultural University (Vietnam), the following research has been conducted.
1. Life history and reproductive mechanisms of parasitic wasps,
2. Host and food foraging mechanisms of parasitic wasps, and
3. learning mechanisms and their application for biodetectors,
4. Biological control of insect pests uisng parasitic wasps,
5. Biological control of weed using phytophagous insects. Since 2016, JST-JICA SATREPS project " Development and Dissemination of Sustainable Production System Based on Invasive Pest Management of Cassava in Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand" has been conducted as a project leader. Education activities: lectures and research guidance of insect behavior to graduate students. Social actnivity: International collaborative research on biological control of crop pests. International seminar and lectures at universities in foreign contries.
