Profile

Outline Activities

Phytochemicals, such as β-carotene and polyphenols, possess antioxidant properties in plants. Phytochemicals contribute to maintaining immune and reproductive functions in cattle. My research activities aims to elucidate the mechanisms and effects of phytochemicals in cattle, ultimately establishing a sustainable feeding management system for Japanese Black cattle by effectively utilizing plant-based resources in Japan.

Message

The need for sustainable cattle feeding and management technologies is growing due to global warming and environmental concerns. I hold the view that utilizing bioactive compounds in grass to enhance cattle productivity and optimizing their utilization will contribute to a more sustainable livestock industry.
