Profile

Outline Activities

In living organisms, various rhythms on different time scales can be observed, such as the circadian clock and heartbeat. When understanding phenomena such as synchronization, where rhythms between different tissues align, or fluctuations, where the period of the biological clock is not necessarily constant compared to a mechanical clock, a mathematical model approach is indispensable. Up until now, I have mainly focused on constructing fundamental theories that highlight the complex networks and flow of information behind biological phenomena. In 2024, I joined the Faculty of Agriculture and am aiming to delve into the mechanisms of biological phenomena by actively applying mathematical models to data obtained from biological experiments.

Message

One of the appealing aspects of mathematical sciences is that it does not limit the scope of research subjects, allowing one to easily perceive the vast expanse of the world.
