Research Interests

We have conducted research on the physiology of livestock reproduction from oocyte maturation, fertilization, and early development to implantation and placentation in livestock. In the study of livestock oocytes, we have clarified their physiological characteristics molecularly and biochemically, and are currently analyzing gene functions using RNA interference methods. In addition, to elucidate complex reproductive physiological phenomena in vivo, we are developing a model for in vitro functional analysis by constructing three-dimensional endometrial cells or placenta-derived cells using tissue engineering techniques.
