Research Interests

1. Molecular mechanisms of muscle hypertrophy, regeneration, and atrophy, and their nutritional regulation
2. Autonomous regulatory systems of myofiber type by myogenic stem cells
3. Regenerative mechanisms of motor neural and microvascular networks
4. Exploration the high-potential myogenic stem cell for muscle hypertrophy through various comparative studies

The purposes of our research activities elucidate the molecular mechanisms of hypertrophy, regeneration, atrophy, and transformation of skeletal muscle, and contribute to maintain and improve physical performance and meat productivity by physical stimuli and foods. We expect that these basic studies will be applied to the development of health supplements and pharmaceuticals. In addition, our research results shown in four themes below are expected to contribute to various academic fields like meat science, regenerative medicine, anti-aging medicine, and sports science.
