Research Interests

1. Field research on biodiversity and ecosystems (mainly fish) rooted in aquatic environmental conservation
2. Elucidation of the molecular basis of spawning, development, and growth of marine invertebrates, and development of breeding and aquaculture systems based on this knowledge.

The goal of the Aqua Field Science Department is to contribute to society through the conservation and protection of biodiversity, food resources, and genetic resources. We conduct research to achieve a sustainable natural environment from which humans can continue to benefit forever. In order to elucidate the impact of the rapid decline in resources and environmental degradation that is the cause of the rapid decline in resources that aquatic ecosystems are currently facing, we must conduct comprehensive interdisciplinary research using a variety of methods. When our research achieves its objectives, we are confident that we will be able to realize the sustainable use of fishery resources, ensure high quality biodiversity, and achieve the "harmony between man and nature" that we truly seek.
