Research Interests

1. Structural biology of sulfotransferase enzymes.
2. Structural biology contributing to human health.
3. Structural biology of RNA modifying enzymes.
4. Analysis of protein molecular motion with laser light.

At the Biophysical Chemistry Laboratory is engaged in the study of structural biology, focusing on:

・The production of proteins and enzymes through genetic engineering.
・Functional analysis such as purification and activity measurement using biochemistry.
・Three-dimensional structural analysis through X-ray crystallography and cryo-electron microscopy.
・Analysis of molecular motion using laser light.

By integrating this information and technology, we conduct functional analysis and enhancement of proteins and enzymes.
