Happy New Year!!
We wish you good health and happiness this year.

The University Farm of the Faculty of Agriculture is pleased to announce the "Kinmemai* Campaign" in collaboration with Nihon Brice Co. and Kyushu University CO-OP. Rice grown on the on-campus farm at Ito Campus was polished into 'Kinmemai' by Nihon Brice Co. in Fukuoka and featured on the "Gohan" menu at Agri Dining and Big Dora cafeteria (CO-OP) from January 7 to 30.

'Kinmemai' is rinse-free rice that retains a sub-aleurone layer on the surface of the grain through a particular polishing technology developed by Toyo Rice Co. It contains more nutrients and umami than regular white rice. Please enjoy its subtle umami and sweetness.

This rice is grown through hands-on learning classes in the paddy fields, where students learn rice cultivation, farming techniques, and paddy agriculture at Ito Campus. Kinmemai is thoughtfully prepared for your enjoyment.

The University Farm team looks forward to receiving your feedback via the QR code on the tables in the Big Dora cafeteria. The team will be giving away small gifts to five lucky winners by lottery. If you would like to try to get one, please reply with your email address.
