[Topics] Children's Work Visit Day 2024 was held!

On Friday, August 2, 2024, the "Children's Work Visit Day 2024" (Mirai Project Executive Committee), an educational program for children to observe their parents actually working, was held at Kyushu University, with two children participating from the General Affairs Section, Faculty of Agriculture.

This is an effort to provide children with a valuable experience that could also serve as an opportunity for them to think about their future.

Gathering at 9:00 a.m., the group spent the morning at the Ito Guest House meeting with the President and Executive Director to learn about "What is Kyushu University like?" in the morning, we had a meeting with the President and Executive Director at the Ito Guest House to learn more about Kyushu University.The tour was followed by a "Let's Walk Around Ito Campus" campus tour led by a student tour guide.

And in the afternoon, we held a "Let's try work experience" at the General Affairs Section of the Faculty of Agriculture's General Affairs Division .
First, a colleague explained about the Faculty of Agriculture and what kind of work the General Affairs Section does, and the children listened intently.

The next work experience included shredding, making a Thepla tape, and making envelopes for the school's internal mail.

After completing their work experience, the children commented that they enjoyed shredding, that they were a little nervous in a place where many people were working, and that the time passed quickly.

Parent who participated in this initiative commented that they were nervous at first, but was relieved to see that they were carefully completing the tasks assigned to them.
