Overview of the Joint Research
At the NAKAMURA Laboratory at Kyushu University, research focuses on culturing muscle and fat cells that makeup meat, using molecular biological techniques to evaluate their proliferative capacity and maturation. In collaboration with RIX Corporation, the project will also focus on analyzing and assessing cells cultured with newly developed devices, aiming to address the global issue of food shortages. The goal is to contribute to the production of "affordable, safe, and secure" alternative meats, which will help alleviate food insecurity and improve Japan's food self-sufficiency
