[Topics] Signing Ceremony for the Agreement on Student Exchange with the College of Bioresources and Agriculture, National Taiwan University
On Friday, April 24, 2026, Graduate School of Bioresource and Bioenvironmental Sciences and School of Agriculture, Kyushu University held a signing ceremony for the agreement on student exchange with the College of Bioresources and Agriculture, National Taiwan University.
Kyushu University and National Taiwan University concluded an agreement of student exchange in 2001, and in 2023 established a "Strategic Partnership Agreement," which goes beyond the framework of conventional inter-university agreements, with the aim of strengthening educational and research collaboration.
In this context, based on an agreement between the deans of the respective faculties, an agreement of student exchange was concluded with the aim of further enhancing educational and research collaboration in the field of agriculture and expanding student exchange opportunities.
From Kyushu University, Professor Takahiro Kusakabe, Dean, Faculty of Agriculture; Professor Chisa Aoki, Vice Dean, Faculty of Agriculture; Professor Tomonori Kume, Faculty of Agriculture; Professor Tomoyoshi Hirota, Faculty of Agriculture; and Associate Professor Takahiro Fujiwara, Faculty of Agriculture, were in attendance.
From National Taiwan University, Dean Yu-Pin Lin, Department of Bioenvironmental Systems Engineering, Associate Dean Chihhao Fan, and Professor Shan-Li Wang, Department of Agricultural Chemistry attended the ceremony.
Following the signing ceremony, a meeting for the exchange of views was held, during which active discussions took place on both education and research, including introductions to the organizational structures of the two universities, the implementation of joint research, the establishment of a joint research center, and the exchange of students.
Through the conclusion of this agreement, it is expected that joint research will further develop, student participation in academic programs will be increasingly promoted, and collaboration between departments will be further strengthened.
