Program Outline

Program name Know, Feel, and Move! Sustainable Future through "Agriculture, Towns, and People" Experienced in the U.S. University of Illinois, U.S.A. Training Program 2025
Dates August 17 (Sun.) to August 29 (Fri.), 2025, arrival in Fukuoka (tentative)
Destination Illinois, U.S.A.
Training Destination University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign
Program Content This is an 11-day experiential global program to consider sustainability through "agriculture, towns, and people" in Illinois, the United States. In addition to university lectures and visits to research facilities, participants will visit farms, farmers' markets, food banks, and other facilities to experience food and agriculture rooted in the local community. Through cross-cultural team project activities and exchanges with local students, participants will take on the challenge of solving issues based on the SDGs. In addition, they will have a rare opportunity to participate in the Farm Progress Show, the largest agricultural trade show in North America, and see the forefront of AgriTech with their own eyes.
Eligibility All undergraduate and graduate students of Kyushu University
English proficiency: EIKEN level 2 or equivalent
*International students are also eligible to apply.
Number of applicants 13
If the number of applicants exceeds the limit, participants will be selected based on a comprehensive evaluation of their motivation, English proficiency, and other factors.
Number of credits 2 credits (Faculty of Agriculture, Graduate School of Bioresource and Environmental Studies)
Expenses Approximately 450,000 yen (including airfare, accommodation, ESTA, overseas travel insurance, etc.)
