Program Overview

Program Name International Agricultural Joint Study Program 2026: Summer Course in Indonesia on the Theme of Tropical Forests and the SDGs
Dates Thursday, August 6, 2026 - Sunday, August 30, 2026 (arrival in Fukuoka scheduled)
Destinations Bogor, Yogyakarta, and other locations in Indonesia
Host Institutions IPB University, Gadjah Mada University, and others
Program Content You will learn about tropical forests and the SDGs while living alongside international students. The program includes a diverse range of activities, such as university lectures, group activities, and cultural experiences. This is a chance to gain an irreplaceable experience! Students who are not majoring in forestry or environmental studies are also very welcome to participate.
Eligibility ・Undergraduate students in the Faculty of Agriculture at Kyushu University, and graduate students in the Graduate School of Biological Resources and Environmental Sciences
・Students who are willing to actively communicate in English
*International students are also eligible to apply. However, they may not be eligible for scholarships.
Number of Participants 10
*If there are many applicants, selection will be based on a comprehensive evaluation, including statements of purpose.
Credits 3 credits (Undergraduate: Special Course; Graduate: International Exchange Seminar)
Cost Approximately 250,000 yen (includes airfare, participation fees, accommodation, overseas travel insurance, etc.)
*Additional personal expenses may apply (meals, sightseeing costs, etc.)
*Costs may vary depending on the number of participants and exchange rates
Scholarships May be available if eligibility criteria are met (e.g., JASSO scholarships)
