BINDS-SCARDA Joint Symposium will be held (Friday, March 17)
SUMMARY
Kyushu University has launched the Kyushu University Research Center for Infectious Diseases, and the entire university is working to build a comprehensive research platform for infectious diseases. In particular, the center aims to promote green pharma drug discovery structural analysis with the aim of establishing a platform for the development and production of purely domestic therapeutic drugs, vaccines, and in vitro diagnostics with a view to social implementation, for which there are high expectations for public research institutions; to develop a world-leading silkworm bioresource and insect factory as a vaccine production modality; and to conduct multilevel omics By engaging in research and other activities, we aim to create comprehensive knowledge that leverages Kyushu University's strengths to solve social issues related to infectious diseases.
The BINDS-SCARDA Joint Symposium was planned as a kick-off event to introduce the outline of the two projects and their initiatives, and to provide an opportunity for mutual understanding of research contents, exchange of opinions and new possibilities for interdisciplinary research through lectures by speakers invited from outside the university. The symposium will also provide an opportunity to exchange ideas and explore new possibilities for fusion research in different fields.
